Who are we?
The Mommy Diaries is written by several different mothers, all with unique experiences, beliefs, and parenting styles, which is what makes us different in our eyes. We hope you enjoy reading about us.

Danielle. Benjamin on the left, and Camden on the right
Danielle Elwood one of our moms is a mother of two little boys, Camden and Benjamin who are 17 months apart in age, Camden will be 2 years old in December, and Benjamin was born in May of this year, making life a little crazy at times. She is a natural birth advocate, ICAN Chapter leader, and overall normal mom for the most part. She has been married going on two years to a veteran Marine, Volunteer Fire Fighter, and an overall amazing husband. She currently resides in Connecticut with her family after living in various areas including North Carolina for a period of time. The Connecticut shoreline is where her heart and family is. Some day, she aspires to be a midwife, for now being a doula, and working on the Connecticut Maternity Care Worst to First Campaign are her loves and keeps her very busy. In her spare time she enjoys blogging, reading, walking, arts and crafts (working on her skills) and fire department activities with her husband and children. Other blogs that Danielle writes for include Birth, Babies, & Everything In Between, Pregnancy, Parenting and Playtime, and Cesarean Epidemic.

Michele with her two children Mason and Hannah

She resides in Connecticut with her husband Jason, her two wonderful children Mason and Hannah, and her two cats Fatty and Skinny. Michele is also an active member of Connecticut Maternity Care Worst to First Campaign, runs the website Birth Cut, and also writes in her personal blog, Birth After Cesarean.

Leigh
I’m Leigh, and I’m 24 years old. I live in Stratford, CT with my husband Matt and daughter Liliana, born in April of 2008.Matt and I had to move back in with my mom and stepfather a year ago and are working to save some money and get ourselves our own place. I was a stay at home mom until a couple of months ago, and I am now a teacher at a daycare center here in Stratford, but I firmly believe that even if I cured cancer, motherhood would still be the best and most important thing I ever did with my life.
Bridget Nelson is a new mom living 2 hours away from 95% of her support system. She has a usually wonderful husband who works long hours. Her beautiful son is growing and changing every day. He challenges her in new ways all the time and she loves watching him develop.
